Terry is a terrific trainer: knowledgeable, versatile and effective. I worked with Terry for approximately two years. I had undergone shoulder surgery a few years prior and basically had given up on weight training. Terry designed a program that took my injury into account and helped build my strength to levels that surpassed my pre-surgery state. Unlike many other trainers, Terry varies his workouts to include cardiovascular, athletic and strength training. He has a vast repertoire and can develop programs to address specific health issues, sports, and goals. Additionally, Terry works with clients on their diet and nutrition (something other trainers often neglect). He knows how to push people to achieve great results and a comprehensive level of fitness without risking injury. Perhaps most importantly, Terry provides people with the knowledge, confidence and written programs that enable them to do solid workouts on their own without a trainer. Terry is a professional athlete himself and is constantly taking classes in the latest exercise techniques and nutrition. He has devoted himself to achieving a superior level of fitness through athletic training and healthy living. Terry practices what he preaches and knows what works. I first saw Terry K on a beach in Barbados, he was extraordinarily fit.

He ended up on the same flight back to NYC and we struck up a conversation, he told me he was a personal trainer and I took his card for - anyone that looked that good had to know what they were doing also being a triathlete- i was needless to say very impressed.

Within 6 months the trainer I was working with had quit training and I called Terry immediately.

He set up an appt with me and gave me a total fitness evaluation, we came up with goals and he began to work me out from the inside out- building my core strength back and abs and gradually worked out to the rest of my body, focused on muscle groups I had neglected, back and legs.

Over the course of time he continued to advise me on nutrition and supplements.

Then he created 2 really intense programs for me- the first one was to put on some size and muscle mass- it was a program of working out- 8 times a week for 6 weeks- it was one of the most challenging things i have ever done- but Terry got me thru it and really helped me to push myself beyond my limits- at the end of the program – I totally achieved all my goals - I had put on over 18 pounds of muscle in the 6 week period of time

The second 6 week program was to burn a thin layer of fat- i had always been very opposed to cardio- but at the recommendation of terry k- i went for it and went on a very clean diet he put me on and did really intense cardio and exercise- by the 5th week we were in the gym and i lifted my shirt to wipe the sweat off my brow- I caught a reflection of myself in the mirror- WOW- I was ripped- a six pack and more- - Terry again had helped to push beyond my limits

Even though I am not training with terry k any longer I still use many of the tools and suggestions he laid out for me in regards to nutrition, diet, supplementation and exercise and i am truly grateful to him for the levels of fitness he helped me to achieve

I have worked with Terry for 3 years now. I did triathlons for 7 years before Terry’s coaching and the best result I ever got, before him, was winner of Clydesdale division at a few local races.

Terry worked on my running technique. Periodized my training schedule. Did lactate testing. And developed a long-term plan that took me to the ironman distance, culminating with a 10.19hr finish in Hawaii Ironman World Championships this year, and a win in the Clydesdale world Games last year (Olympic dist).

Terry not only develops the training plan. He is also great for motivation. As a goal oriented person, he sets the goal very high and motivates you to reach it.

I could not recommend Terry more. He is tough but fair. He is selfless in his desire for his Athletes to perform at their peak. His knowledge of the science of speed is extremely deep, from Nutrition to equipment, to training schedule tailored to the individual. Anyone who knew my performance before Terry can attest to the benefits I have received from his coaching and motivation.
